Talisman Hobbies was born from a deeply personal journey. Founded by Allison Meekis, Justin Hughes became involved in the business when his ex-housemate started it in 2014. Over time, Justin discovered that crafts like diamond dotz, cross-stitch, puzzles, and colouring weren’t just pastimes—they were lifelines. Living with ADHD, depression, and anxiety, Justin experienced first-hand how immersing himself in creative activities provided focus, calm, and joy. Every finished piece felt like a victory—a visible achievement that boosted self-worth and created lasting positive memories.

Talisman Hobbies is more than a store; it’s an invitation to find mental clarity, happiness, and accomplishment through creativity. Every kit, every puzzle, every pattern offers a little win and a pathway to better mental health.
